Best sandwich place i ever went to so far very good & very nice people working there would highly suggest !!!
The best sandwiches in the NCR. Served on local fresh bread with tons of options for what you want in it. Make sure to get the spicy eggplant added on for no extra charge.
Excellent sandwiches. Would recommend.
Best sandwiches ever! The employees are very kind. I recommend this place for a great lunch break.
This is a tiny little corner store in Gatineau, a short ways from the Museum of History. It has all the standard stuff you'd find in a corner store, but the real delight is the large variety of sandwiches they make fresh, on the spot. It's a great place for a take away lunch since there's no tables indoors. While the lunch line is long, it moves quickly.
Sandwiches were good but the guy at the counter was quite rude.
Great neighborhood convenience store with a delicious selection of freshly made sandwiches to go. Pick your bread, meats, toppings and enjoys!
First time going, the sandwich was fresh and full of ingredients #14. So big I couldn't finish it. Great deal for $5.99 + tax
Delicious, inexpensive sandwiches that are made with high quality local bread, and stuffed to the brim with meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Also offers dépanneur staples, but the sandwiches are the main draw.
I love this little corner store and sandwich shop.
This place is a diamond in the rough. Artisan bread that creates amazing sandwiches. I recommend the #5.
Nice friendly people. Good sanwiches.
best sandwihes in the city1) sherwood deli2) La P'Tite Epicerie3) derienzoyou will NOT be disappointed
Super friendly store with dehydrated & imported goods .Over 20 sandwiches to pick from wich are made on the spot using quality meats & artisan bread. And all for a reasonable price.
11.85$ for a sandwich and tall can of Beau's beer, pretty good deal for a cheap lunch. Great selection of sandwiches and different artisan breads. Nice patio on a quiet street.
I can't comment on the quality of the food because I couldn't get past the crowded and dirty environment to order a sandwich. It is not a restaurant, just a few tables at the back of a variety store.
This place is a hidden gem. Corner store with lots to drink, including beer and wine. Small selection of food and other items.Family owned and operated. The big surprise is the freshly made sandwiches. Large choice of fresh buns and about 20 sandwich selections. As an added bonus they have THE BEST homemade lentil soup. It is always a treat when eating here.
Awesome sandwiches on Art Is In bread
They serve the best sandwiches. Would highly recommend going, even if you don't like sandwiches. I personally do not like sandwiches typically but this place is amazing. The bread is great, and they put enough toppings on it to be able to taste them without them falling everywhere. If you go around noon the line will literally be out the door. That's how popular this place is.
The one guy gave 1 star because he didn't get acknowledged, he must be a millenial. But for real, the place is jammed at lunch time because the sandwiches here are the real deal. The bread, awesome. The cold cuts, awesome. The condiments, awesome. The owner Hassan and his wife, awesome. The owners got their kids working sometimes, props to that they be showing good values, unlike the self-righteous unacknowledged buddy who didn't get his sandwich.
sandwiches are phenomenal. Family owned.
Best sandwich in town. By far!
The sandwiches here are unreal. So good that I am going to pick one up for the plane ride home! Very small shop with a list of sandys on the wall to choose from. You can select your own bread too. Very very tasty.
Great service and selection. Overall pleasure to go to.
Great sandwiches!
There is no space at all. I tripped over all their stock. Waiting in line is so confusing people cut you off, or they take someone else that came after you. There is no pricing whatsoever they rip you off, because at the cash they dont enter your items they just say any price. It's so dirty it looks like they never have touched a broom in their lives. SO BASICALLY ITS SUCKS. just go to the second cup in the museum, or the cafe in the museum its right across the street. VERY RUDE. so I was counting my money and they just kept calling random people, while I was counting she didn't even count my money if I gave enough or I gave too much. she took it and told me to GO.
Yummy sandwiches with great bread ! You can even buy the bread and being home to make your own creation! Nice family!
Tasty sandwich, fast service, great prices....what more can you ask from a quick lunch?I live in Little Italy so I'm still a devotee of Di Rienzo's sandwiches but this place is definitely the best sandwich I've had in this side of the river. The 16 on Black Olive with an Orangina, a solid summertime lunch. Today the neighbourhood smelled like garbage so it also reminded me of the great Bodega sandwiches in NYC.
Tucked between homes, this convenience store had a lot of the basic snacks you would want. We went to get food and we liked that there was a variety of sandwich and bread types. The person serving us was nice and the sandwiches were great. We loved the rosemary bread; found it very thick so some may find that there’s too much bread. It is cramped inside the store so there isn’t much room for 2 people to stand between the aisles. Overall, we would go back for more sandwiches!
best sandwiches at very good prices
Amazing sandwich for $6. Add the soup for $2.70 as it was also delicious.
I’ve been going here for years. The sandwiches are amazing. Amazingly priced, the bread is fresh daily from Art Is In Bakery in Ottawa, the meats and cheeses and veggies are sliced on-demand, and the owners and their family are absolutely lovely people. Sure the place is a bit small, but it just adds to the charm of finding this diamond in the rough. Highly recommend!
I just visited the place 2 minutes ago. Place is crammed and looked messy. The person a the counter never acknowledge me. Took my card, was about to charge me 72 $ instead of 7.20. Never appologized. Tossed the machine at me and kept talking on the phone. Thinking of trying one of their great sandwiches but i wont ever go to the place again. Terrible customer service. Its a shame cause the reviews are great and the place looked awesome
Stopped here for a lunch break after spending a few hours at the Canadian museum of history, within walking distance. Great little spot it doesn't appear like much on the outside, however, the sandwich was delicious. The bread and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. Would highly encourage anyone in the area to check it out.
Variety of great tasty sandwiches at reasonable prices in a small market.
Artisan bread and fresh deli makes a great sandwich...and very affordable!
It's a small place, not a lot of actual grocery. Basically a small bodega. The sandwiches however, are awesome.
These are the greatest Sandwiches I have ever had. Quality each and every time. I cant reccomend this store enough. Fresh ingredients and a delicious selection of home made breads. Affordable prices & friendly bilingual staff makes the trip worth while. I ordered the number 5 on Jalapeno & Cheddar and it was made to perfection as always. An absolute hidden gem in French-Canada
I've eaten 100 sandwiches from here. They're really good. Around 6 dollars. A good selection, fresh bread daily, and very nice family who runs the place. All the sandwiches are made fresh in front of you. I recommend the #14. In the summer you can sit out front and have a beer (can from fridge) with your lunch, if that floats your boat. It's busy at lunch because of the school next door and all the people that love the sandwiches. It can get packed in there.
They do it right. Order a sandwich number, get it on bread of choice and enjoy!
By far the best sandwich I've ever tasted. All the ingredients and really fresh. I've tried all the "popular" sandwich places in Little Italy, and they beat everyone by a mile. Thanks again for your great customer service.
Location out of nowhere, you will need to visit this place if your want to try excellent sandwich!, Price is great and taste is awesome ! Service is fast and selection is good . It takes longer to decide what you want then for them to make it for you !! Parking is on the street, they have some tables outside of you like to stay and eat there. Easy walk from Canadian Museum of History or Jacques Cartier Park.
Excellent hand made sandwiches. Tasty and fresh. A bit intimidating to order at first, but the taste and price is well worth the small walk to this place.
If you feel like having a good sandwich don't hesitate to stop by. Line-up can get impressively long on lunch time.
Great little place to go on a lunch break. Their sandwiches are amazing and super reasonably priced. I recommend trying the potato and onion bread.
The sandwiches are worth the trip
Some of the best sandwiches in the region made to order.
Great little Artisan sandwich shop. Really fresh breads, fast service, good prices.
Tiny corner store with big selection of grocery items - plus fresh sandwiches on locally made bread! Simply amazing! It's also perfectly located right around the corner from the Canadian Museum of History and the Auberge Un Pied A Terre for tourists!
Delicious, quick, simple sandwiches with a variety of bread to choose from. Staff is friendly and you can tell it's good by how packed it gets at lunch time.
